The "group ride" experiment
Monday, February 15, 2010 at 12:55AM Well, fuck. I tried. I had this idea, derived (a.k.a kinda ripped off) from this idea, to do a sweet wall of helmet cams, running all together in a smooth, liquid mosaic of radness: The Group Ride. But it seems the Web can't keep up with my imagination. Sigh. If you get more than three going at once, The Group Ride clunks along like circa 1992 closed circuit security footage. On inbflat.net, the site that I got the idea from, it's all about the audio and doesn't really matter if the video skips. The Group Ride is the opposite, it's all about the video. It's gotta run smooth, or it just doesn't kick ass. But I figured I'd post it anyway, it doesn't totally suck. If you run three vids, it's actually pretty smooth (I recommend muting all but one of the vid's audio). But if you run more, meh. Try it out anyway, maybe your results will vary. Thanks to all the makers of the vids I embedded. If you see one you like, click through to youtube and give 'em a hit. Oh, and if you'e a Web bad ass, which I am not, and you know how to make this thing sing, whether it's hosted on another site, or whatever, let me know. I'd love to see this work, with way more videos making up the wall.

Hey, can't tell you exactly how you could do this, but have a look at using video editing software to combine the multiple videos into a single one.
You will have to download the individual videos from youtube, just google for how to do that.
I don't know what video editing software would allow you to combine them, but I'm sure if you ask around someone will know.
